What a week! I had the privilege of attending a Bridal Seamstress Retreat in Austin, Texas last week, hosted by the lovely and talented Nadine Bozeman. Nadine founded Secrets of a Bridal Seamstress Podcast and Business Community and does an outstanding job. She is attentive, organized, and relevant in all she does. She works with love and sincerity and is the type of person who is always rooting for the best in people.
The seamstress life can be very lonely at times but we are anything but alone. The support, encouragement, and straight up love from my fellow seamstresses left my heart overflowing.
Day 1 we had the privilege of hearing from Wendy Rivera, a Bridal Business Coach. Let's just say I could of sat and listened to her for much much longer! She is a wealth of knowledge, full of inspiration and speaks from the heart.
Next up we heard from Jessica Guzikowski, a guru on social content. I'm certain I am not the only business owner who despises trying to keep up with my social feeds. It's a job in itself but Jessica gave us some great insight on how to make it happen in a little less painful way!
Day 2 we were graced with Bianco Trevino's presence. Bianca is a Wedding Planner/Business Coach. She walked us through SMART goals and helped to ask ourselves the right questions so we can better serve our brides.
Later in the day, we had some fun with round table discussions, and headshots with the talented Tyler Reber.
The wedding industry is so much more than wedding dresses, fancy cakes, and an abundance of florals. It is a mash up of highs and lows, happiness and stress, guest lists and budgets, and oodles of decision making. The more we can communicate, educate, and know what our brides needs are, the better we can serve! m
